    With all that corrosion it could be a wire but after cleaning up the wiring swap the coils from one side to the other and see if your problem follows. Your boat looks fast!

    I would say put the vro pump back on and that would reduce oil consumption at idle and solve your problems.

    You don't need a manual for that....they all work the same. Believe it or not the pumps do burn out. Find a used one or replace the pump.

    Check to make sure your control box is in nutruel. Giggle the handle. Man overboard switch. Key switch Malfunction to name a few.

    He wasn't being a smart ass.. "Good trolling motor and also a backup motor" not sure he caught you already have one. Re-test your motor warm, make sure it's spinning good....maybe a little oil in the cylinder. If still low try another tester....many folk here test low until they try another...

    Crosby, good catch on the bolt.....OP I'd say your "doomed". Do what you can with patching and painting and run for as long as you can. Motor is corroded and just removing bolts will take weeks. Good luck.

    How much pressure....oil or no oil? Any water in the oil before that?

    Do we know approximately how many hours on the motor? How much pressure did you put on it? Not sure it will hold pressure if you push on the shifter....don't remember that in the manual. Gearcase seals are pretty tough. Others will chime in....
