    The Merc area is the Mercruiser area. You had it in a section which would get very little views and being a shift issue it is a motor issue It should help with that, but going all the way to 6 o'clock position may be other issues. Try adjust first then we can see if there are still problems

    Move to Merc area The shift cable needs adjusting Place shift in neutral, then disconnect lower shift cable. Make sure **** interrupter switch is in center. Move cable in/out until until neutral is found on drive. Adjust barrel nut until cable just slides back on shift plate

    Search for 861156A1 which is the old pump number, several will show up You may have a good pump it's just the Reg is where the problem is, need to test. The pump may be able to output 60 psi of more, but if the Reg bleeds off all pressure except 30 that's all you will see.

    The FP Reg is the lower one on the pump. The upper one is a damper and doesn't do much but educe FP pulses FP Reg cost under $200 which is a lot, and can be had with a automotive part for less Merc 861126A1 Mallory 9-33206

    Thanks Having cool fuel 2 then should have an Alpha drive You should also have 43 psi fuel pressure Has the fuel pressure regulator been changed or tested? Can also have a vapor lock issue going on but with VL you should have no issue restarting after 30 minutes. The restart issue might happen...

    It can leak from under the intake I don't remember but did you try the plastic bag over the one hose and plugging the other as Muc mentioned in post 29? If the 2 ports your referencing are items 1 and 2 they are fuel Unless you have item 6 covering the vac port then there is none...

    The type of anodes depends on what type of water you boat in A Z drive being a cross over IMO with a inboard and outdrive I would use Aluminum

    Always good to have all the info With MAP disconnected the ECM is probably giving motor more fuel. Also disconnecting the MAP can throw a code Motor needs to be scanned Were the injectors replaced or just cleaned?
