    Fuel pump issue

When was the last you changed the fuel filter(s)? To eliminate the fuel storage system as the problem, connect a hose downstream of the fuel tank and drop the hose in a can of petrol. See if the problem goes away

Anyone using Garmin UHD with Smartcraft Gateway for engine parameters?

Depends on what you call “easy access”. Unless you have separate displays for navigation, sonar and motor, you will either be flipping pages all the time or you will need a magnifying glass to read the display if you run split screen I run separate, full screen displays for nav and sonar...

new propeller installation and test resoult

Personally, I would prop for high weight and just use less throttle when running lighter.

    Best rust loosening material

Steel turns orange in excess 1,000F. By that time, you've compromised the metallurgical properties of the fastener. Might as well save time and either cut or break it off (over torque) and be done with it.

    Best rust loosening material

As a farmer, I find plain old diesel fuel to work about as good as anything.

1987 Johnson J15RCUD with Racor Filter and Longer Fuel Line Run

The Racor SNAPP series would probably be a better choice given the application The filter is rated 15 gallons per hour. Your 15 Hp motor is pulling 2 gallons or less per hour. There is negligible pressure drop (~0.09 psi/ft.) at that flow Your flow rate is in the "noise band" of the pressure...

1990 Force 120HP no spark NEW stator tests 0.5V between sets open resistance this is crazy HELP

Stators are pretty robust. They typically fail from over voltage situations related to failed/failing voltage regulators and or battery related issues What took out the stator the first time that it needed replaced? Did you test the rectifier and battery functions prior to replacing the stator?

    Bait and Livewell

Most systems use a manual diverter (valve) to move from bait to live well operation from a common pump. If they are separate systems as the switch suggests, I would expect to find two separate supply inlets (thru hulls) unless the a single intake was sized to accommodate both pumps running at...

    Boat buying dilemma

I’m an offshore fisherman, glass boats I’d go with the bigger Yamaha over Mercury, assuming you have local support. I know nothing about aluminum boats beyond what I just read on the Lund and Polarctaft websites. Polarctaft had a good presentation on the materials and construction of their...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

The collision avoidance display comes on when you pull in the garage. At that point she has a 12” display centered on the fridge with distance bars (yellow into red) and audio feedback. All she has to do is pull in until the system starts beeping (yellow bars) and stop….lol

    Let's talk skill...

that's how I was taught....you don't have control drifting. More of less parallel park.... Go in hot at an angle, hit the brakes (reverse) and back/pull the transom to the dock.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Have a 2023 CX-9 Signature. Was annoyed with lane assist until I got used to it. Good/Bad.......most, if not all features, are owner programmable. Spent 2 hours configuring everything to my liking once we got it home. Then spent another hour to reconfigure everything to Mrs. Dingbat's...

    Eagle trailer surge brakes

Is it a blocking (NO) or a by-pass (NC) type valve? I could see a scenario where backing up a steep grade with the blocking type solenoid, in the closed position while backing, would/could overload the piston and blow the seals out. I would switch to a by-pass type valve to see if that doesn't...

    Eagle trailer surge brakes

Brake actuators are pretty robust internally. They typically don't leak unless physically damaged. What kind of backing solenoid is installed? Does it work reliably? I have never had a caliper leak on me per say. Had them stick, but not leak. My money is on a leaking brake line

    Recommendation for gps display

Buy the biggest display you can afford or that fits on your boat. Maps wise, I would go with the company whose survey vessels you see the most in your area. Ever seen a CMAP or Navionics survey vessel in your area? Me neither. ;)
