    The End

Hope you did that just for the picture…putting a rod in the holder upside down is a good way to support your local rod smith..;)

    Battery charger recommendation for winter

The trick is to get it (them) charged back up the quickest possible. Replaced my Vintage 10 amp Diehard charger with a Schumacher SC1304 two years ago. It's a 15 amp/3 amp charger that supports Gel, AGM and lead acid battery charging.

Montgomery Ward GG18736D has a few issues

Smoking and back firing when warm is the classic signs of ignition coil(s) breaking down. Use a spark tester to confirm diagnosis.

Never had a “blue tarp” make it through the winter. Went to black/brown (16 mil). Get 4-5 years out of one.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

You’re going to leave your drives down while slipped? Getting in and out over the transom is frowned upon due to safety concerns. All the local marinas have finger piers every other slip. Allows you to access the boat over the gunnel

200 hp Saltwaterseries lift motor engaging on its own.

Seen some crazy ground loops in action working with 12V marine wiring. Check switch(es) and relays in the circuit. Both capable of intermittent failures from wear. Put a meter on the pin outs and wiggle the switch operator a few times to see if you could get it to fail "closed". Higher...

    Airmar B175 Transducer Installation

I installed the same transducer in my boat. My hull is solid glass, so didn't pay attention to the cored hull instructions. Looking at the installation instructions, I don't see why you couldn't use a Dremal to cut the core back say 1/2" then fill with epoxy to seal the core. The transducer is...

    What oil should I use?

No reason whatsoever to use synthetic oil in a water cooled motor that goes 25-30 hours between oil changes.

    1995 Spartan Supreme roller trailer

Bear in mind that moving the boat forward will increase your tongue weight. You may need to move the axles to compensate.

    1995 Spartan Supreme roller trailer

I don't buy that on anything but maybe a tin boat. My boat hung off the back roller of the previous trailer by 12"-16" for 25 years and is none the worst for wear.

    1995 Spartan Supreme roller trailer

There is no right or wrong diameter, per say. Diameter would only affect how high the boat sits off the trailer. What happens with rubber roller is that they distort and flatten over time. Have seen where the (metal) washers embedded in the bore break loose and allow the rollers to "rock"...

    1995 Spartan Supreme roller trailer

If all articulation is operable, and the trailer is properly adjusted, the weight of the boat should prevent any movement of the rollers. Having said that, if those rubber rollers are OEM 1995 they’re more than likely shot and the root of your problem. Replace with PVC rollers

    towing - engine in neutral?

Unfortunately, a piece of paper proves nothing other than you went through the motions. We (Maryland) are required to attended two, four hour training classes ($20) and pass a 3-4 hour written examine and we still have idiot boaters…lol
