Just a minute to say Thank you.

I think this is the #1 place for boat evaluation, maintenance, and restoration knowledge on the Internet. So, it is nice to hear about the positive impact the forum has provided those who are new to boats and boating. The more that you know about your boat, the better off you will be when out...

    Wiring windless

Windlass (not windless) Do you have a master battery switch for the boat (like a Pero Switch)? It would be the common lug as you mentioned. Since the current to the windlass is so high (30+ amps) you cannot really run it through any instrumentation/helm type of switch. That is what the...

    Wiring windless

That updated diagram looks good. The positive lead goes from the breaker to the solenoid (not the switch)

    Wiring windless

No solenoid shown. Toggle switch looks like DPDT momentary switch Not a proper wiring diagram IMO

Can you post a picture of the schematic that Lewmar provided? What you described does not sound right at all.

Head with no holding tank, is this illegal?

Usually the toilets are plumbed to a holding tank. Is there anything about this toilet that would prevent you from doing so?

    Boat won’t start

Welcome to iBoats and the beginning of cracked block season. Was the engine winterized? What is the history of this boat/engine? Perhaps run a compression test? See how much oil you get out of it and then add new oil/filter and see if it becomes milky again. Got ignition spark? Got Fuel?

    Electrical generation

Solar generator? At night? I believe it’s dark out at night, so no solar then. Maybe a gas ⛽️ generator would be good.

    Saltwater Anodes

It is good when the anodes sacrifice, because it means that the other metals are not.

    Electric Cars or Trucks

If we are going to figure out this electric vehicle thing, maybe we should start with a brain teaser as a warm-up. 3 men and 5 hats Three wise men are told to stand in a straight line, one in front of the other. A hat is put on each of their heads. They are told that each of these hats was...

Ticking or chirping noise coming through exhaust

Ticking . . . I'd say it might be a bomb  Chirping . . . I'm thinking it might be a bird 🤪 Anyway . . . exhaust does tend to make certain noises at idle. You get valve noise, reverberation, etc.
