    Bearing carrier is out . I picked up a tool similar to the one jimbo posted . Now how do I put the new one in without messing it up ? Can I take the old carrier and lay it on top of the new one then use a block of wood or something to tap it down in place ?

    How do we get the tapered roller bearing racer out of the back of the LU ? Is this gunna take a special tool ?

    I think I have all the replacement part needed on hand now so I went ahead and prepped primed and painted it . Clear coated it late this afternoon . This pic is just the color coat no clear .

    Yeah the good ol Florida humidity .. Are you spraying ? Might set everything up the night before . Get outa bed around 4 or 5 am . Mix and shoot before the temps turn into a convection oven …

    How does the bushing come off . #8 .. Unscrew or just pop off ? Sorry for all the dumb questions guys . This is all uncharted territory for me .

    Ok , I’ll clean and reinspect bearings . Any thoughts on the shiftshaft question ? Are there anything I need to lookout for should I dig into it ? Just apprehensive on screwing something up by mistake ..

    Got the shaft and housing out finally. Should I go ahead and replace the DS bearings while it’s open . I also have a question on the shift shaft assembly . Debating on digging into that while it’s opened up . I have seen videos of the shaft turning freely . I can not turn it by hand . Is this...

    That tab washer is in the way of getting a wrench in the bolt on bottom of DS . Am I supposed to just bend it down out of the way ?
