    Outboard Flex Tube

Most the OEM “tubes” are “bolt-ons”. A lot better than the various aftermarket adaptations and work arounds. Having said that, eBay is your friend for this type of stuff

Adding a House Battery to Bayliner VR5

I think we’re talking two different things. The only 2,4 and 6 awg wires are battery cables. The term “jumpers” would lead to suggest the cables running from ACR to each battery and or the battery cables proper. If that is the case, duplicate cable size with existing battery. The cables...

Timken part # for alpha gen2 cone bearing + race

The fact that they changed the design would point to an inherent problem with the original design or a supply issue. Old design parts costing less than new would suggest supply issues with planned obsolesce, i.e. selling existing inventory at discount to unload

    2007 Tahoe Boat Trailer

the boat could be sitting on any make and model trailer. You need to identify the make and model of the trailer, not the boat

    Outboard bracket access cover

Have never seen one with anything other than a flat, bolt on cover with a gasket. Personably, I would not want any type of a deck plate in that application. Hard enough keeping the inside dry as it is

    Normal rust on 2011 Mercruiser?

That is rust…not corrosion. Huge difference.

    Normal rust on 2011 Mercruiser?

I would be more concern about the “rust” around the spark plug. Looks like the “moisture” came from the spark plug

    Normal rust on 2011 Mercruiser?

There is no “cleaning” salt. You have to neutralize by flushing with something like salt away after each use. Even then your fighting an uphill battle. It permeates everything, The wiring is the most venerable. It’s not if, its when will iron oxide start to form

    Mounting bolts

Are they shiny (silver) or matt finish? Keep in mind that the “zinc” coating is in the neighborhood of 0.0002” thick. A miss applied wrench or socket would easily compromise the coating You’re in no danger of using the motor, but it will not take long before you get rust stains

    Mounting bolts

Did you use hot dip or zinc plated? Huge difference in exposure protection. Rust stains and gel coat don’t go well together.

Still running hot, please help .

You would be best served to troubleshoot before buying parts. Sending units typically fail outright. They either work or they don’t. In the end it most likely will be the gauge or a corroded wire

Looking to buy a budget saltwater boat

I know of no place outside of the CG or navel academy that teaches such things. Believe it or not, boating in the ocean isn't anymore dangerous than boating in your local lake. Statically, your safer boating in the ocean than you are boating in your local lake. Boating offshore isn’t...

How to clean main harness connections?

Most likely you will find only one offending wire or connection The quickest and easiest way is a visual inspection followed up by “buzzing” out the harness with an ohm meter. Wires must be disconnected from their termination points to read properly. Requires a schematic and or a working...

Yes, the basics are controlled off the key switch. Unlike most road vehicles they also have a “live”, direct connected circuits to power navigation equipment, stereos, bilge pump, etc.

Looking to buy a budget saltwater boat

He is not going to learn a thing about “blue water” in any boating Safety Course He would be better served taking courses in oceanology, meteorology, and advanced navigation.

    Fuel supply problems

That would certainly make sense. Your tank is CARB and EPA compliant. Also has a “built in vacuum valve so no need for manual venting” ….good luck, lol Sounds like you may have an issue with the “vacuum valve”
