Don’t know why you would need a lift pump unless used as a “fix” for something else. I run a stock oil/fuel (OMS) pump with no problems
I know have 3 years on Ford 3.5 EB in my truck.
My only complaint, if I have one, is spark plug life. Started getting the slightest idle “tick” @ 40k. Changed plugs and all is good again.

Need to test fuel pump pressure per the manual. All bets are off if your fuel and oil pump is suspect in the least.
If it sat for any length of time you should probably remove and clean the throttle bodies.

IMHO...getting the top and bottom pins out are the worst part of the job.

The boat moving forward creates low pressure behind the windshield which pulls smoke into the cockpit.
I can eliminate most of it by opening the side vents on the windshield.
Switching to a 4 stroke eliminates the issue all together
