    Question. Is the o-ring (#57) supposed to go above impeller housing (3)? There are 3 vertical fingers that prevent the o-ring from seating onto the flat upper surface, of the upper impeller housing. If it was flat, what purpose will it serve just sitting loosely on the top of the housing...

    Is it possible to drop the exhaust housing from the steering bracket and power head without taking power head off? Maybe the plate gasket(s) are broken (#96) allowing water to squirt out over/by the shift rod..

    Photos in thread #13 shows the opening from tube to block, so no blockage there. Other 2 photos show shift rod and water tube just below the block. The blurry one shows water spraying around/above shift rod attachment (water sprayed on lens). Seems a lot of water not going into the block since...

    Not worried about color. I previously posted photos showing what looks like water spraying around shift rod at top where water tube goes into the block. Is that normal? Doesn’t look like it’s coming from where the tube slips into the block, but just above it maybe? Is there a rubber sleeve...

    No bites on that topic, so how about this... is there a screw, etc that I can remove on the block that will allow cooling water to shot out so I can see the strength of the stream developed by the impeller?

    Got it running but it started to get hot. Very little water came out the upper port (red arrow previous photo). Laser temperature indicated 275° on upper block. Took lower unit off, connected hose to water tube and water came out upper port and what appears to be the area around the shift...

    Title says 1967, model 33753C. New impeller was installed, and water level in test bucket was about an inch above the top of the impeller housing, not 8”. I looked through my parts catalog and do not see any thermostat in the exploded view or parts listings. 🤔
