    5/16 will run a 115 and probably a similar 125. 3/8 on larger engines. With what you said and the history of the interconnecting fuel line and bulb your fuel filter should be full of particles. Change it and cut the old one open.

    My take, on pressed in rubber hubs, is that the shock is mitigated by the rubber interface. I had one plastic/brass replaceable insert hub prop and it had no room to give. It didn't stay long on my engine.
