    Oil resivoire pump??

2005 200 hp Yamaha The pumps shot. Are there any aftermarket pumps? The owner can't afford the 170$ and is looking for an alternative. He's retired and life on a fixed income is hard on him. If that can't be found? then what are the steps for removing the oil injection? Thanks, Jerry

    Drive direction??

"Need A Right hand rotation? RE-Shim and run it RH." On Facebook a guy lists a 3.0 L 25" L hand lower unit for sale. The add (above) says that you can reshim and run it backwards. I'd always heard that the L hand units weren't strong enough to run backwards/forwards for prolonged...

    Sludge in the oil tanks.

I posted something about this a few years ago, then ran into the same problem last week. The design of the tank allows moisture to settle in the bottom of the tanks. This then forms into a fungus that can clog the hoses and pump causing engine failure. Fungus can grow in diesel and oil tanks...

I have a 30" shaft on my motor. It's a solid shaft no connectors. What would it take to make it a 25"\ I know removing the 5" extension would be part of it. But what about the shift shaft and other parts?? Thanks, Jerry

    Yamaha oil tank system DANGER!!!

The PROBLEM with Yam's oil tank: the tank should be cleaned out YEARLY!!! There is usually some condensation in the tanks(both) one on the motor and the one in the boat. The condensation forms and settles in the bottom. There it forms an algae that actually grows in oil and diesel fuel. This...
