    Do I survey a 25K boat

If your primary concern is the gas tank, is it aluminum or plastic? My tank of that ear is plastic. I would be more concerned with an aluminum tank that age.

Thinking of buying a Maxum 2400 SCR. Thoughts?

The microwave will require shore power (120V) and can't run on the battery, unless you have an inverter and lots of battery capacity. The fridge should be 12V, but you need to ensure you have sufficient battery capacity to run it extended periods. Stove should be propane or butane, unless it's...

Replacing trailer axle... what are the considerations?

If you go with a straight axle, you'll need to back the trailer deeper in the water to launch and retrieve. This could result in you backing your tow vehicle rear hubs into the water or submerge your exhaust. Things I don't like to do when I launch. In addition, you'll have to wade deeper in...

Replacing trailer axle... what are the considerations?

That trailer likely has surge brakes (my Calkin does). If you can confirm that by looking at the front coupler, you don't need a controller. Brakes are easy to install with the hardest part being bleeding them with the surge brake coupler. You'll need to confirm the surge controller is good...

New DP-M outdrive install: need advice

Before I made a custom cart I would have my wife help me wrestle the drive on. Two people can do it without hoist tools.

A few questions from a learner

The speed sensor on item 2 is flipped to the up position. Push it down is it is below the bottom of the boat. It's spring loaded to either the up or down position. In it's current position it won't read dynamic water pressure.

[Q] History on "Commander" boats made in British Columbia?

I have a Commander 30 and I haven't heard of any hull quality issues with these boats. Looks like a great boat to re-engine. Later versions came with single diesels. There is a Commander Rendezvous Facebook group you could join and ask there for info and suggestions.

Proper air pressure for PWC trailer

Actually, pressures on tires are cold pressures, so no need to compensate for heat up.

    Submersible trailer lights

Actually, if the amp is out of the tub, you would be good. The guitar generates a very small voltage. Back on topic, I'm happy with my Optronic lights.

    trailer dolly?

I use a Trailer Valet XL with a 20V drill for my 4200 lb setup. Works great for maneuvering in tight spaces. Gravel may be an issue if it's soft. They have other options besides the XL that may work better on gravel.

How to correctly patch holes on the inflatable boat?

Those are good instructions. I've found that two part PVC cement is better than the typical PVC cement.

    Corrosion on drive

If they do replace it, hopefully they have one in stock. A friend had his outdrive stolen from the front of his house this fall and the backlog on getting a new one was many months.

    DP 1.95 SM outdrive hosed

When you say no water in the oil, did you determine that from changing the the oil annually, just looking at the dipstick, or opening the drain plug and draining a bit out? Oil is lighter than water, so it won't show up on the dipstick if it's been setting a while.

    What is this?

That's a Courtesy light that lights the lower interior. There's one on each side. Should be a switch with that name on your panel. At least there is on my Concept.

    Using inverter on board

You will likely need more margin between your 650W load and your 750W inverter. A 1000W would be better, especially if you still want to run lights. Have you done the math to determine if you have enough battery power to run the inverter? To run a 650W inverter you're going need about 60 amps...

    Duo Prop Removal

The primary reason to remove the prop is to grease the splines so it doesn't corrode onto the spline.

    Bellows full of grease/oil

There are no indents on the seal. It seals against the forward edge of the bell. Clean it up with a scotchbrite pad, apply some triple guard grease, and it will seal fine. There is a fair bit of rubber compression when you tighten the six nuts that attach the drive.
