    A stretched inner core isn't your problem. Either incorrect adjustment, worn sleeve, too much slop from elsewhere, etc. The interrupt engages because of tension on the plate, not the length of the cable.

    The spring can be bent to change its tension. The shift plate and cables can also bind.

    1. Those plugs look horrible. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't fire. But you said you replaced them 2. Post 29, you have a pic with a and b labeled. What is that pic? 3. If you have spark at the coil then your problem is distributor itself not turning (unlikely), rotor not turning (unlikely)...

    You have 12v coming into the switch, right? And when you jump the solenoid the pump works?

    Did you check/change your fuel/water separator? Check your timing? Check your compression? Check to see if you're getting a spark in all cylinders? Is your TKS plunger working? Did you recheck your plugs/oil after running it?

    You can try putting the timing light on each plug wire while it's running to see if you're getting fire to the wire at least. Or use an in line tester if you have one.

    I tried wakeboarding maybe at 40? I have a tower, and haven't tried without. Do you ski? Also wondering if you're going too fast/too early. You don't need a lot of speed or power to get up on the board compared to skiing or especially slalom. My problem as an old guy is I don't know what to do...

    Don't know about SEI quality--I'd assume on par with decent aftermarket (sierra) but not quite OEM. My last sierra kit is 5 years old and looks perfect. I've also seen differences in shift cable quality. In general I think the ones with the plastic coated core wire are pretty good. I'd stay away...

    Are you doing all of this revving in neutral (not indicative of anything) or under load? The 3.0 is not smooth, but shaking makes me think that you're not running on all 4 cylinders. While fuel issue is most likely, a pooched valve/other mechanical issue could cause those symptoms as well.

    Not sure if you actually realize the point of this forum, but it's DIYers looking for advice on how to fix their boats. "Get a mechanic" is NEVER the answer here. There is nothing on a carb'd 3.0 short of machine work that can't be tackled by a shade tree mechanic.

    Meh, I do that routinely. I did change the back to back lounger/jump seat setup to a rear bench/2 captain's chair setup. 4 adults easy on the rear bench, 2 in the chairs, 2 comfortably in the bow. Sub out a couple of adults for kids and can do more than that somewhat less comfortably. 19'.
