    Automatic Bilge not running

This is exactly correct. And there is one other possiblity: a bad sensor in the pump. Pump works on manual but has a bad sensor and does not pump on auto. This is why its important to check the fuse and your connections on the brown wire.

    Automatic Bilge not running

Does not matter, its ok on the temp. But before you test again, need to validate that the fuse is not blown or some other issue with the wiring (like a bad connection).

oil pressure sending units dual station SW gauges, exists any single station sender can work?

It is not clear to me what your question is or what you are trying to accomplish. You have 2 engines, so yes you need an oil pressure sending unit for each engine. And are desiring to have a ‘single’ oil pressure gauge but with a toggle switch to flip back and forth between the engines? If so...

    Automatic Bilge not running

Also it is possible the fuse blew, so check that as well (and the rating). And if it’s one of those auto sensing Rule pumps I am thinking of, it has a test push button on them that uses the power from the auto side (brown wire). Thus if you are positive there is power to the brown wire and...

    5.7gs low oil pressure

At least not yet but it’s coming. That low of a pressure will result in a ruined engine as I am sure you are aware of and concerned about. You need to get a decent mechanical oil pressure gauge and validate the reading. Do that ASAP and do not run the engine otherwise. Post what you find and...

    5.7gs temp gauge wiring

Galvez83, I just noticed you have this same post going in Electrical. Perhaps one of the moderators can merge the posts into one on the electrical side to allow a more coherent back and forth.

    Starter not engaging flywheel

I am thinking old school where ring gears were shrunk on the flywheels. Did not know the 5.7s were welded on, but good to know. My overall concern is that the OP needs to keep investigating and post the findings. From there lots of folks will help and he can back to enjoying trouble free boating 😊

    Starter not engaging flywheel

See post 4 - issue still exists I think the OP is simply frustrated since never an issue before BRTate > we have all been there but things break. The ring could have moved. The new starter could be bad. The key here is to investigate per alldodge suggestions now that the other items have...

    Trolling Motor Grinding/Friction Noise

There is definitely something binding as you suspect (like bent shaft per Dingbat and also per your wobbly prop) or some contamination that interferes with its rotation (ie between the rotor and the stator > the stator is magnetic and may have some metal debris from the old brush holder stuck to...

    VP 4.3 GL-B - Spark issue

Agree your compression is fine to run. So now you know you have 2 of the 3 needed ingredients. Spark and Compression. And while you have fuel, you have too much of it as evidenced by the wet plugs and the other symptoms your id'ed. Finish that carb rebuild and get ready for some boating action!

    No power

Hopefully its as simple as a bad relay. If you have a spare, try that. If not, here are some steps to determine it’s a bad relay: Power up the relay (key on) and gently tap the top of the reply with the handle of a screwdriver. If suddenly works, replace it. There may be another relay that is...

    Spark plugs

Here are some suggestions: Look in the manual to see what is spec’ed out Pull one of the plugs and get same brand / model Search this forum for others who have asked the same. I readily found this post (link). Search other search engines for VP 5.0 GI Spark Plugs. All this assumes you are not...

1999 Volvo Penta 4.3 GL - No fuel pump or crank

That is great news! Can you please outline the ‘fix’ you did on the ‘New Engine – No Spark’ posting for two reasons: (1) allows others with similar issues to be able to resolve theirs and (2) lets others trying to help that you are all set and thus can focus their energies on your current issue...

1999 Volvo Penta 4.3 GL - No fuel pump or crank

With the pump jumped, does the engine run? Previous posts about no spark, backfire, etc. So am curious if now only dealing with a funky electrical issue vs. getting that new engine to run.

    5.7gs temp gauge wiring

If I may summarize your issue: Was working, suddenly not. Components good (both sender and gauge) but do not have connectivity been sender and gauge. Further there is some confusion over the color of the wire(s). Thus it sounds like simply running a new signal wire would solve the issue. It...

    New Engine - No spark

Drew, I ended up reading your post #6 as I was heading to bed last night and it had me smiling for the next hour. Yours is one of my favorite posts yet. And I mean this in a good way > you should be proud of your accomplishments and what you have learned. And I love the humility. We all make...

    New Engine - No spark

Not necessarily. While I am not familiar with your set up, there is generally a circuit to power the pump when the key is the “Start” position and another ckt to power it in the “Run” position. Same for power to the coil. In other words your timing could be ok but you have another issues with...

Inverter on Boston Whaler Vantage 320

Nice boat! Not sure this answers your question but when replacing a failed component always best to: Get an exact replacement (ie same make and model) Take a lot of before pictures. Have all power disconnected before starting. Tag the wires as needed and or move wires one at a time, off the old...

    VP 4.3 GL-B - Spark issue

I think what you are referring to is the ‘check valve vent’ for the accelerator pump. For the accelerator pump to work it needs to move back and forth similar to a piston in a cylinder. One side is the fuel, the other is the atmosphere and without the ability to ‘vent’ it does not work. The...
