So my inspection camera doesn't fit in the plug hole. What I can see with a flashlight and naked eye is tops of pistons when rolled over and nice crosshatched bores. Pistons don't appear "washed".

True. But people in Seattle dont want to be in Seattle.

Nothing out the holes plugs stayed dry. I did dump the fuel filter... some silt in it but nothing crazy. Looks mostly like remnant glass from the tank being in the garage... no water there either. Going to start a leakdown.

It was a different gauge than I normally use. My matco gauge is usually 135 but it leaks down so you need two people. I borrowed my cousins horrible freight gauge and got those numbers. Throttle was open. I bet if I used a longer adapter (more in the chamber like the long reach plugs vortec...

Thats my problem. I did service work as a kid (still do on the side) so the 4 counties neighboring mine are relatively back of hand now. To get to a particular street address I'd still have to look it up but I can get pretty much anywhere with no real challenges. We drove up to NYC last week...

Compression test: #1 125 PSI #3 128 PSI #5 125 PSI #2 120 PSI #4 125 PSI #6 125 PSI Low but equally low, which would make me tend to distrust the gauge more than anything. Even when it was a fresh rebuild, it had about the same compression so I'm not that worried. Also, cold engine and...

I still just go for a drive and try to get lost. Proven valuable over the years.

    My 84 4winns horizon 195 project.

So engine was swung. No leak found. Leaks with engine in though... breakup started again but before that I went out and tested the hull with the now repaired "dents". Result? The little bit of chine walking I got in turns is gone and off the trailer not trying I picked up 2mph up top. My best...

Sealed water bottle with a pinhole in the cap should be sufficient. I've done that before.

    Oil Pressure Sender failure modes?

Mine uses a VDO type sender... stays at 45 all the time lol. They are notorious for failing.

If you do glance at 1 and 3, there is a bit of the brown on the porcelain as well but not nearly as much. I suspect I'll get to the bottom of it after some testing.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Higher density coosa. The divinycell is nice but not nearly as strong for that application imo.

    Popped through the intake.

It was hard to tell honestly. I think it may just be from the fact the plugs have been in there since october 23 and the engine sat in the damp garage while I rebuilt the boat last year. Or my riser extensions are weeping. Actually no, as that would hit all 3 if it weeped.... I will also add...

    Popped through the intake.

Seeing as the uploads are still broken, I didn't go crazy after work. Pulled the plugs. Google drive folder with files here. Interesting the difference bank 1 to bank 2. Plug 6 in particular is odd but nothing is screaming I'm broken. Just marked difference side to side.

They're actually slowly moving away from having carplay and android auto in vehicles (projection) in favor of a built in android automotive which they can then charge you for cell service for instead or you'd have to use your phone as a hot spot. I kind of understand as getting a projection...

    4.3 diesling

I haven't experienced dieseling yet... I am only running 89 octane too. My 3.0l used to do it occasionally when it was ungodly hot out though.

I've tried hitting the switch with a hammer in the past with no change. Oddly enough this is the assembly from my 3.0l which didn't present this problem. However that switch is 22 years old. I could unplug it when it starts happening to test as well if the failure isn't "vibration based". The...

I have a funeral service I have to take care of monday but beyond that I'm on vacation all week. I'll do the driveway tests tuesday and get everything cleared up. From there if it all passes the sniff test, I'll go back out and make it happen again. As its happening I'll put the timing light on...
