    No such thing as a 1994 Crosair outboard motor ,so there's that. They made engines back in the 40"s or 50's and Scott Atwater bought them out. Serial number might help. Possible the cover was branded as a Corsair , but that's not who made it.

    Take a pressure washer after dousing everything with Purple cleaner and let er rip. On a side note ,what the heck is engine smell if gas is not involved. Of the 10 inboard - I/Os I've owned I cannot remember ever having a engine " smell " other than gas .

    I would pressure test the tank. You should be getting ZERO smell of gas , period. Vapors are what cause explosions and you have that going on.

    Have not fogged a engine in over 35 years , yet all those engines started right up in the spring and never had any issues related to winterizing/fogging . Marketing 101 in play here gentlemen.
