I had a 68 scout with the 266 V8 in it. I kept a can of STP oil additive in the glove box, if the engine was being stubborn I would take the can out of the glove box and set it on the dash, most times that seemed to change the engines attitude.

I live in Central Minnesota there is no Honda dealer from the Twin Cities to Brainerd. Yamaha there are dealers and they are tough motors, I admit I do love the smell of 2 stroke burning in a boat motor.
