    Brown transmission fluid

    Clutch packs aging cause the fluid to discolor. Looks like clutch pack replacements hopefully next winter. Might as do a complete rebuild while the transmission is out. It is a 1990 model after all.

    I changed the transmission fluid on a boat I bought last fall, I was dismayed at the condition of the fluid I removed. I have put new fluid in and I am hoping for trouble free boating.
