    I don't think that crank sensor does what you think it does. Hint what else showed up in 1992 Yamahas. But I do like how you and your dad can't do anything by yourselves.

    It is because people are incapable of listening. I tried explaing to some people that the Yamaha is a 2 relay system, even with the wiring diagram I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. Now they find it on Google and it's the gospel. Google is the bible of the parts tosser.

    First thing I I would check is the lanyard, then I would check spark. If those aren't the problem Then find a CDI ignition guide and do the tests.

    That makes no sense could you elaborate? When they fail they do over oil the motor. But another culprit is the cap on the oil tank. Did you do the VRO test on it. Was a BRP OMS pump put on it or cheap Amazon/Ebay Junk.

    Didn't 91 start with the decompression holes. If so the values are probably ok
