    As long as the water level is not reaching the powerhead. If that? than the motor is sitting too low in the water

    Your seal must be one of the very few :) the material used was to deter water from entering but nowhere near "waterproof"

    I think....... Fuel stored in a sealed container/tank last longer than exposed to air. I ran the last fill up with fuel stabilizer / I tape-up the tank-vent on the boat when I park it for the winter October to June is how many months? Prime the fuel system & she fires up within 20 seconds

    Move the wire leading to coil #3 to #1 and see if it sparks? IF it does; check the trigger-wires/connector for #1

    You're probably right! all I know is the splines from an outboard block will not fit on the Jet-drive :)

    The same goes for the Jet-boats that had the 90 HP & 120 Force engines, the splines on the crank-shafts are different.

    It may in some cases however in this case I doubt it, judging by the bottom-shell looks the same as the outboard except the cut-out for the out-drive

    It's a '92 I know the floors in them & I own a '90 bayliner Capri O/B and is waterlogged to a point the the mushrooms are coming through the carpet. (hence the shopping for a boat) I was thinking.......... if I can't get the motor going; to strip it from it's existing motor/outdrive & retrofit...
