Most times belly tanks are held down with rubber or neoprene padding, the tank should not be used to support the deck. My SS belly tank has hold downs on the sides and on each end.

Yeah 4 amps will take a while to charge up big deep cycles. Check to make sure there's a relay on your TM power, sometimes people forget those little things. ;)

Onboard chargers are the bomb, best thing I did in my SS build for the 3 deep cycles and starting battery. I boxed all my batteries that use the strap for the hold down.

2 good coats of OTF should be good. Double pumps, I find the bilge pump to be the least used device in my trailered boat. Only time mine runs is when I check it before heading to the water.

Suggestions on how to fill my onboard gas tank?

Yeah that's what I meant by grounding, putting the portable tank on the ground.

Suggestions on how to fill my onboard gas tank?

You're not supposed to fill portable gas cans or tanks when in a vehicle or boat, they're supposed to be grounded. Seems to me like he could use a grounding strap on the trailer and then fill inside the boat to lessen the hazard of an explosion.

SC did the steel mandrel blinds right from the factory, I had rust spots all over in my boats where they didn't get the mandrels picked up.

Yeah sounds familiar, put new rear shocks on my truck. All was well until after I torqued the bolts at 85 ft lbs on my back up under there. Guess we aren't young anymore. :cautious:

That will for sure help with deck mounting and should keep rib end cracks from forming. On the bilge pump I did this in my SS.

    2003 StarCraft C Star 160

The C Star is a glass boat so most guys around here aren't familiar with them since we're a bunch of tin heads.

I added brackets to strengthen the stern corners of my SS, they bolt through the transom and are solid riveted on the sides. The V5 models don't have the channel for the transom to rest in or side brackets, the transom wood is merely bolted flat to the skin.

Not sure if it's more work, just a different kind of work dealing with glass over aluminum.
