    use $1500 minimum for just a transom however the stringers are most likely toast as well..... and the flotation foam is most likely waterlogged if this is a 80s or 90s built wellcraft, the quality wasnt there from the beginning.

    No need. just keep the spare tires and a bunch of stuff in the bow of the boat to move the CG forward, however add tongue weight. if tongue weight is less than 6% the trailer will sway with a 2000# boat/trailer load, I would have no problem with a 400-500# tongue weight

    are the seats and transom going back into the boat first? referencing the pics from post #4. the seats add structure to the boat if the boat is only rated for 15hp. then look for a 15hp motor

    in addition to the right tools, a good jack and a spare hub. Have a second spare tire. both times hauling a boat from Wisconsin to Florida, I had 2 flats along the way. a piece of rebar going thru a construction zone, and a screw back in 2008. tread delamination and a roofing nail in 2012

    post a pic looking down the side of the boat. sometimes when foam gets saturated with water and freezes, it will push the hull outward, however where the bulkheads are, it doesnt move and you end up with a slight pucker at the location of the bulkhead.

    Did you mix the skirts to make sure they did not collapse? Did you use a bore gauge to make sure the birds are not tapered? Never been able to just replace rings. Usually a 0.020 bore and hone needed as a minimum
