    Volvo bought the long block from GM. GM had a few different sources for the piston assembly. There could have been a change. Are these new rings for old pistons?

    Go here. https://forums.iboats.com/threads/searchable-holley-carb-list.771381/ Use the search function and look for your Holley list number. Most Holley carbs need only 5 gaskets, and a few other parts to rebuild Your Holley 2300 carb has 3 (as it's half a 4-barrel)

    Oops, lack of coffee this morning and sort of skimmed ADs answer The AQ271C is a 37 year old motor. Basically a 1987-1989 GM 350. Mehling was one of 3 or 4 supplies back then to GM. Not sure about Sealed Power which is mostly after market . Sealed power back in the late 80s was it's own...

    I have had 4 or 5 HF jacks over the years. a 3-ton, a low profile aluminum, a few of their cheep 1.5 and 2 tons. they all work for about 15-20 years of abuse. one of them is so abused, I had to weld-up the pins from wear twice now. it may be tossed soon as the seals are starting to go.

    the 20 foot anchor was sold with a 100hp merc. the 18 foot received a 65hp or 85 hp per the fiberglassics page for the 60's https://www.fiberglassics.com/library/index.php?title=Anchor_Plastics in the 80's it looks like the 16' boat had a 125hp rating.
