for splash nominations, it must be wet, away from the dock and under its own power. doesnt need to be perfect and complete.
first, welcome aboard.
second, make sure the pump is plumbed correctly. there is an arrow cast in the pump body for fuel flow direction.
third, make sure the pump is wired correctly with an oil pressure switch and a relay.
Both valves will be closed one revolution later too. However only for a brief moment as compared to the compression stroke where the valves would be closed for about 45 degrees of crankshaft revolution
Out of those compression numbers , only cylinder 7 is in spec

Now, cover the plywood with 1.5 oz cloth, make smooth, sand smoother, apply gel, polish. It will last a fair amount longer

Not needed. Rebuild existing transom with AC. Plywood, make sure wood goes to the edges. Laminate the two pieces with tite-bond III.
Seal the wood with Rust-Oleum
Drop in place, replace the transom cap
