    It’s maybe more about knowing your engine too, being fair. Depends what kind of health the auto choke is in too, for function. They can stick on or off…or in between too. Worst thing with them is if you try and start by pumping when it’s in certain states of warmth

    90EFI mercury model 1F904531D S/N 2B185185. Changed the low pressure fuel pump in the FSM. Will not fire off, it’s getting fuel.

    Hi. The line at the bottom of the FSM is a fuel supply line from the in line filter surely? I think you’re just needing to purge the fuel rail and module of air. It will take a while.

    Ok. Let us know how you get on. I just know that these engines will do just that with the switch pulled. I pull it for spring start up to crank over a few times to get some oil about her, before she starts up and fires.

    Hi. Muffs are a 50/50 on the drive that will likely have. I’d personally have a hose directly to the water pump.

    I think just with the 2 barrel, you’ll find a world of power and difference in comparison. Especially down low. Prop change will now be required, as you’ll know too. Exciting times.

    Wondered this myself. Especially with some of the carb older versions. At one point there was a AQ205 4.3 at the same time as a AQ211 5.0 !

    I’d check the fuel filter seals. Has the filters been disturbed or changed for another type/assembly recently? Just in case the direction of flow has been mixed up. Any sign of diesel leaking to the bilge at all ? Have a think if anything has been changed or modified from the original set up...
