    if there is a selector switch on the tack for 4, 6, 8, etc. note where the switch is , and move it back and forth cleaning the contacts. this works some of the time to fix a flaky tack

    pontoons are moved around the factory with forklifts under the deck, not by the toon logs scissor lifts lift the 'toon from teh deck structure so, your good to lift the pontoon by the deck

    PVA is mold release Gelcoat is just colored resin fumed silica can be used interchangeably with cabosil (same stuff, different name) epoxy sticks to nearly everything...... not much sticks to epoxy.

    the exposed fiberglass probably soaked up some water. get it dry down and dirty fix...... mix up some gel with fumed silica into a paste and smear over the chips. spray over with PVA to allow to cure. dress as needed.

    OTF would be good, Rustoleum would be fine too. I used WEST system epoxy to seal exterior plywood used as seat/upholstery substrate on a rebuild once, and the staples would not go thru the wood. I do not recommend that. I have done a layer of CSM and poly resin over plywood many times...

    in addition to what Matt mentioned. Pontoon boats really need a hydraulic jack plate as they are really susceptible to loading and for every change in load, the moor may need to be raised or lowered vertically to gain efficiency. Back to your pontoon. until you get the boat up on the water...

    Your stock pump is a Carter marine fuel pump You may be able to even get a rebuild kit. I recommend avoiding the Chinese parts from Amazon

    You know a new mechanical fuel pump is about $50 and a properly installed marine J1171 compliant electric pump is almost $100 Check the cable adjustment first. Measure the stroke You may have to go back to the carb
