    Glastron SX 175 Gas Smell

Doesn’t look like they paid attention while looking into it. What you describe is not normal and an indication of a leak most likely in vent side of tank - top fitting or hoses.

    Yep, another prop question!

It is so hull and how you want to use your boat specific that it is hard to answer with out any WOT rpm info. Likely the boat will hit mid 40's maybe a hair higher, but likely will want to optimize the prop when you get it broken in. I'm assuming since you have a 4 blade your primary use is...

    Is this dealer legit??

It may be legit. When I sold my old boat listing on CL, I was inundated with consignment places calling trying to angle for a cut of the sale by listing it and connecting me with a buyer...my neighbor sold his boat this way after unsuccessfully listing it for the better part of a year.

    Boating in saltwater

Read up on bravo 3 corrosion issues my friend who is in brackish in a marina put a second mercathode system on with transom pucks in addition to the usual one under the trim hose manifold. Also added a prop nut anode . Does your cav plate have one or two anodes? later ones added a second anode...

    470 swap to 4.3

Outdrive, yes but you would need to go up in prop pitch. I did a 4.3 to 50 swap, went from 19” to 21” pitch wiring, you need the correct harness for your engine but it will plug into your boats harness and work fine. Transom housing yes, but you need the exhaust wye pipe for a V engine. likely...

    470 swap to 4.3

No I am not selling, just one I saw. Would figure $300-400 shipping depending on where you are in WI. Would second green bay prop, not sure of they would do the work too? If you have the room in engine bay given size of boat a 5.0 or 5.7 would be a good power increase.

    Engine flushing

Post a pic of your engine. If it has a closed cooling system you will have a heat exchanger that is about 4" in diameter and 18" long or so right on top front of engine - goggle merc closed cooling system to see what one looks like installed

    omc v mercruiser

No question 96 merc as it is still currently in prouduction. Would also question a pontoon with an I/O. while personally I prefer I/O's, Pontoon boats are the absolute worst application for a I/O.... unless you own it already would look for an OB powered one...

    470 swap to 4.3

What is the condition of transom and stringers given age of boat there is significant risk for strucutral rot. Not that these cant be fixed just would likely push he cost to the point where it likely wont make $ense. michigan motorz sells new and reman engines, probably could do the swap for you.

Volvo Penta 2.3L AQ131 runs better with timing advanced

Any pints system will go through a resistor to drop voltage to around 9 V to improve point life. When you crank the voltage in the system is going to drop so the 9 bolts would go even lower creating a weak spark. So they wire a full 12 v to coil that is only powered during cranking, usually...

Converting to carburetor from mpi 350 mag

Knock sensor will not be used with DUI or Delco set up. buy a Delco or DUI complete setup and that is all you will need

Converting to carburetor from mpi 350 mag

actually the opposite. Normally you can get the delco est complete system a lot less than the TBV module.

Converting to carburetor from mpi 350 mag

Davis unified ignition or the several times previously mentioned Delco est are two stand alone ignition systems that will work fine for your Application. Delco is more common in marine applications and used on some Volvos and mercruisers as OEM The distributor sensor sends a signal to the...

Converting to carburetor from mpi 350 mag

So if you dont have a TB ignition module because it was in the ecm the t bolt will not work. As suggested early on in this thread u will need to get two delco est setups to make this work, as even if you could rig up a TB module you will pay more for the modules than a complete delco est set up,
