    Structural integrity and boating safety.

We’ll this one’s transom sounds like drywall with 24” centers. It’s one good wave away from blowing the transom seal. But yeah after thinking I’ll just monitor 16 in the situation

Carter fuel pump for OMC 3.0 L

OMC 3.0L is the same 3.0L that Mercruiser used and is a GM product. Mercruiser 3.0L will get more hits. Just make sure the one you get has correct fittings and orients the right way.. Mercruiser pumps usually point down. But 3.0l pumps can point up too

    Structural integrity and boating safety.

We’ll here is the condition that got me thinking about this. This boat was on the water this year and previous owner didn’t know it was unsafe. Lucky it’s last mission is giving an old StarCraft a new power plant. Can see they even put brand new seats in it

    Structural integrity and boating safety.

Perhaps just monitoring ch 16 will be the only thing that can be done. But they probably don’t even have a radio. With the guy who owned the boat I bought. The blessing is he ran out of gas and thought he had carburetor trouble so it never went back out

That is pretty much what i would expect as a response as well. My fears are with children. Luckily I haven’t seen any real rattle traps at the launch I frequent.

Model of early 80s IO StarCraft?

As far as I know the islander and sport fisherman were actually the same with the interior layout being the difference. It is definitely one of them

    Structural integrity and boating safety.

So I just bought a boat for parts that is structurally not sound but it is mechanically good. The previous owner, a younger gentlemen which it was his first boat actually said he had it out on the water. And called the boat still useful. With a deck so bad you’ll fall through it and the transom...

Registering a Mariner 4 in Indiana?

It sounds correct. Once you put your motor on it, it is a motor vehicle and they do have HIN numbers. You can generate a statement of origin from intex website. I did it in NY a couple years ago. Your states regulation for a boat registration will take it from there. Inspections ect And yes...

" Prosessing " a donor boat. Best way?

If I actually wanted a nice compact bow rider I’d restore it. But it’s too bad. Even the mooring covers are perfect. Transom sounds hollow, floor is mush

" Prosessing " a donor boat. Best way?

We’ll i just got it home. Beautiful shoreline trailer worth what I paid. The seats are wise bayliner series basically new. Engine runs smooth as butter

" Prosessing " a donor boat. Best way?

So I have a junk old Holesclaw trailer that I think will fit a 16' boat. Needs a new tongue ( slight bend ), coil overs and some other stuff that I opted to replace it for my little Starcraft. I do want to keep the winch stand for my girlfriends fathers boat trailer ( which only has a rope...

" Prosessing " a donor boat. Best way?

I think I will give the seats to my dad. His offshore needs them. Mine had a full interior restoration just before I obtained it. I just dug into mine ( Starcraft ) more than I ever have. Couple wires to nowhere and I don't see the round plug. Almost think it's bypassed. The engine 'appears'...

    1981 Honda 4 Stroke 9.9 Should I? How much?

You might find impellers for it, you won't find service for it. I'd steer clear. Old Honda's are very hard for parts

" Prosessing " a donor boat. Best way?

I wonder how 'good' the interior from a 16' 4 Winns would fit a Starcraft Offshore. I know at least the seats would work. My dad also has an Offshore V 18 that the interior is wrecked on but he wants to get it back to the water at some point.

" Prosessing " a donor boat. Best way?

I'm pretty sure I've found my donor boat. '86 Four Winns with a 3.0 Alpha. Nicely kept boat with in tact mooring covers and such, but is rotted. Owner states soft floors and we know what that means. Probably Worth fixing if I were a fiberglass guy but my Offshore V 18 is twice the boat and I...

    Merc overheating…

This is where a little routine maint would have prevented an issue. Impeller has a 90% chance it quit pumping. Burning smell because the exhaust got HOT from lack of cooling

Does the 86 alpha one have the same round plug for wiring?

Joined the Starmada. kind of unexpectedly

I was mistaken, the probable donor boat is a '86 Four Winns Freedom 160. They came with the 140hp 3.0L I was originally considering using the Gen II transom assembly that I have from the smoker craft, but I don't have the leg. I do have a nice set of Faria gauges from it though. I'm thinking...

Joined the Starmada. kind of unexpectedly

After looking around, I found a 1986 Wellcraft Eclipse with a 3.0L Mercruiser. Decent boat, someone taken care of it but owner says soft floors. I can get it for $800 and I think it's the best route. The only question is keeping the 2.5L which I know has been gone through by previous owner, or...

    Mixing Mercruiser 120 ( 1971 ) with Alpha Gen II ( 2000 4.3L )

Would an 86 boat with 2.5 merc be a good candidate?
