    the alternator is a corrosion on the diodes ..... my 1984 camaro I did the lower voltage amp alternator .. voltage dropped 10volts running the engine 305CU ... I fixed it cleaned the diodes voltage it 14.25volts... I know the boats are a lot of corrosion electrical issues ..

    the canister is to remove it and then put some air in it and the canister is blocked up flow .. or the canister is the air filter vent or the hose is distorted use the air pressure .... I did my old vehicles and the gas has a gas pump valve on the gas station ... my gm truck had the vent...

    my mcm470 1978,,,,,,,, then put it ""down"" the alternator 1990 , next to the oil filter ,,, when the antifreeze bottle plastic is on top ,,,, MCM470 .mercrusier changed it,,, a few years later dropped the plastic bottle down .. I bought the regulator in the 1988 and it was dead in 1990...

    I adjusted it back in the 1987 .. I adjusted it behind the engine ..the cable is adjusting the move to out drive ... the steering wheel is 11 o clock then 12 o clock adjusted it ..

    the trim devices are in today's world switch/resistor it is a lot of failures . the CCP manufactured it.. I would use the liquid tape to seal it ....

    you bought the boat in the spring . 3.7 eng .1989 ,, did you inspect the igniter .. or the distributor points . or the electronic ignition .. inspect the timing . engine ignition is updated ?

    you have to inspect the bell housing .. remove corrosion and use the primer paint with alum .. then black paint is correct .. drive shaft has a leak next to the U joints ..use the air pressure gauge .... 7-10 psi .. see if its leaking ..

    grease is inside the bellows u joints .. but no gear oil ... did you use the old trim sw/resistor left right see if the ohm meter is working . I no the CCP parts are a lot of failures ..switch/resistor sensor .. corrosion in the components ...
