    Sounds like you aren’t too bad as you are for props. Standard CT 115 would be a long shaft. I know that there was and is a serious shortage of normal LS engines here. A few xl around though.

    Regular maintenance - change just the impeller or entire housing too?

    Newer merc a recommend a 300 hour change out. I’m at 900 hours and have the advantage of reading my water pressure. She’s still reading as good as new. But it’s getting changed for the sake of not wanting to push the boundaries too much further.

    You’ll already have a standard type fuel filter with water separating capability. Although it’s not the type that has a separating bowl…with regular changes at the right intervals…they’ve done a great job so far, over the last few decades. Keep the fuel fresh and you’ll be fine.

    This has been discussed previously. There are 2 stated capacity figures, depending on where you look. Either just over 4 litres or about 5 litres. I think the difference is the dipstick to be honest. Could be wrong. Someone put a strong argument forward for 4 litres not being enough at high rpm...
