Alpha One Gen 2 impeller delete question

You can do as you like but if you spend $55 for an OEM merc impeller and change it every 3 years you wont have this issue. Do you recall if that is an SEI impeller? one of the professional mechanics who is on the marine engine forum mentioned that happening with their impellers I just changed...

    NEW TO BOATING, NEED HELP!!

On the muffs you have no load so it doesnt take anything to rev up. Boat is much different its like a loaded truck going up a steep hill all the time. Always do a water test when buying a boat. It probably isn't a big deal since it sounds like you have mechanical aptitude. I prefer OEM merc...

    Volvo Penta SX Prop ID

It really depends on how you use your boat. If I recall you have lighter faster boat vs the arse heavy boat I have that doesn't go over 50. Most of my time is with my daughters and their friends skiing/ wakeboarding or swimming. Four blade gives great benefits for that use.

Depends if the blades were the same a little more bite and slightly lower rpm at WOT. If they have more cup different blade profile difference might be more dramatic

    Mercruiser 5,7 speed

To reduce prop pitch you have to change your prop to one with a lower numerical pitch. If you have a 15" pitch now and the engine was in good working order going to a 15" pitch would bring rpm up about 800rpm at wot I would check the drive serial number on the drive matches the drive serial...

Rochester 2 jet running rich before and after rebuild

I would look in the throttle bores at idle and see if you see any fuel dribbling down off the boosters above the throttle plates should be dry at idle. 3.0 GS - Overheat followed by power steering pump belt snap

They would’ve had to have taken the power steering belt off to change the alternator belt so they probably didn’t tighten it up enough

Rochester 2 jet running rich before and after rebuild

What your fuel pressure?i assume you mean the vent for the fuel bowl? There is no vent for power piston you can see, it gets pulled up by manifold vacuum. If you see fuel on the top of float bowl your fuel pressure is too high overcoming the needle and seat, or the needle and seat/ float...

Alpha One Gen 2 impeller delete question

This is the correct way to install a fresh water system on an alpha. to the OP before you hang anyone, look and see if there is room, and if that will be any easier to change. Some of the comments folks have made about the contortions they need to do to change a belt or crank pump makes me...
