Are you using OEM or aftermarket tubing?
How old is the tubing? Service life is typically 8-10 years. The OE hoses on my 200 where 14 yro when the powerhead was replaced
Hoses splitting at the fitting is typically a mismatch in size between fitting and tubing.
My 200 uses 3/32” tubing...
My longest daily commute was 180 miles round trip. Did that for a year.
I live in an area where commutes are measured in time not distance.
Case in point….the 35 mile drive to my office takes 30 minutes.
The 37 mile drive to my daughter’s house takes 60 minutes w/o traffic, 90 minutes with...
Interesting..most I’ve owned and it run are marketed as “self bailing”.
What is your interpretation?
https://www.topnotchmarine.com/self-bailing-boat/
“Self–bailing boats, or self–bailing hulls, are designed to remove water from the boat deck or cockpit area using gravity not pumps of any...
The first thing I do with a new motor is change the drain screw out for a hex head.
This one fits Evinrude, but I had the same design on my Merc I/o and outboards.

The Seav2 hull doesn’t like to run at slow speed. 18-20 mph is barely on plane. Still have a lot of running surface in the water
Cruising speed for my 226 is 4300 rpm @ 27 kts. (31mph).
The freezing of the carb throat is the result of the Venturi effect. A reduction in fluid pressure that results when a fluid flows through a constricted section of a pipe.
The Venturi effect can drop the ambient air temperature by 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
The basic operating principal behind a...
Transom pickups sux. Priming issues….
I have scoop type, thru hull pickups on my bait and washdown pumps. No problems priming. Have water flow thru bait well w/o pump running if anchored (tidal flow)
It’s your boat, but anything below the water should have a seacock just in case...
Interesting…. “specially formulated for HVAC copper pipes, HVAC condenser coils, tanks, valves, pumps, castings, water jackets, radiators, etc., and “where there is not constant exposures to water” in the same paragraph
I'm guessing the difference is that Ameritex has/had an existing pattern to work from. Everyone else would have to custom fit which is labor intensive.
$6K is a little steep but given the state of the current job market.....I'm not that all surprised.
Horses, yachting and race cars have never...
Amongst other things.....
Lucky you didn't take out the charging system in the process.
Steel connectors will suffice for automotive applications but a no-no for marine applications.
Guessing the cable isn't "Tinned" as well. Better off to replace the cable with a Marine grade cable
