    Too close for comfort!

“Their immense bulk makes right whales significantly heavier than other whales of similar or greater length such as the humpback, gray, sperm and even fin whales. In fact, right whales rank only behind the blue whale in sheer body mass.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_whale

    Where to mount my transducer?

No… the tip of the blade. Assuming your running a 13-14” diameter prop….14/2= 7 +16” = 23” from centerline of boat If you can’t do that, mount it at a location where you can and live with the results. If your not far enough away one side of side scan will have issues. Expect to make many...

    Wayyyy over propped???

Comments on this paper? If you adjust for the specific heat to your 14.5 atmospheric pressure you end up with 20.3 x 9.5:1 give you a compression of 192 psi http://www.healey6.com/Technical/Nominal%20compression%20pressure.pdf

Does ACR exist to charge start battery bank only if the volts drop below 12.45?

and never will. What your saying makes no sense given how an automotive/marine charging systems works. See image below The voltage regulator regulates the voltage coming from the charging system. The ACR simply distributes the charge between the two batteries The only way you can over...

    Where to mount my transducer?

Take 1/2 the diameter of your prop and add 15”+ 1” . This is the distance from the center line of the boat to the center line of the transducer. Old paint, as well as anything else on the bottom, creates turbulence as the water flows over the bottom of the boat. That turbulence will interfere...

Does ACR exist to charge start battery bank only if the volts drop below 12.45?

Regulation of the charge source is handled by the voltage regulator. Has nothing to do with the ACR

Not sure how you came to that conclusion from my comments above. Also pay attention to my comments about bottom paint

    Wayyyy over propped???

Nobody can give you a definitive answer unless they have the exact same boat motor combination. The max rpm for that motor is 6300. Your currently running 1400 rpm below with ~ 40% slip. Anything would be better at this point The performance specification I posted above used a 13-1/2 x 15 prop...

    Where to mount my transducer?

I had the opposite problem when installing a GT51-M-TM The side viewing feature puts pretty restrictive demands on location and orientation of the transducer relative to the lower unit since the side beam has to pass between the transom and the lower leg. In my case, I had to move my...

    Wayyyy over propped???

Something isn’t right…going from a 19@4900 rpm to 13@6000 rpm will reduce your top speed even more. First off… is this a new to you boat? Have you checked compression? What is the LU gear ratio? 2.15? What condition is your current prop? Plugging in your numbers your pushing 40% slip….20% is...

    Wayyyy over propped???

Props vary by both size and design. Not unusual to see multiple sizes of different design recommended. Are you sure your tach is right? Conventional wisdom would say you have to drop to a 13x13 prop to hit 6000 rpm. What size prop is the prop selector recommending?

Looking for Titan Model 60 rebuilt kit - 1" piston

Whats the story behind your hard-on with Tiedown? Their brakes are useless but I’ve had good luck with my model 66 actuator as had a number of other people I know who run them. I went that direction solely on the fact that the master cylinder is aluminum. Saved me from replacing rusted out...
