    add hardener to the paint. go to tractor supply, get the Majic brand hardener. you can add to rustoleum, etc. you can even use the Majic line of implement paints.

    Tillotson made many carbs and there will be many kits that you can get. you may have to buy one or two to get the gaskets. however if you are careful on tear down, you can usually limit it to a bowl gasket and a needle
