    if you want a better top end, you need more motor, or your current motor is at the wrong mounted height. I would suggest looking to see where the cavitation plate is while you are underway. you may need to raise the motor.

    You need to check the hoses. The flappers are exhaust check valves that prevent water coming back up the exhaust when you cut throttle. They are at the top of the Y-pipe. Look up the parts based on your serial number
