    Wheel Bearing Inspection Interval

LOL...they are not made in China. Been buying them for both boat trailers and my travel trailer. In fact just bought a complete set for my travel traieler a couple months ago. All made in the USA...

    Front wheel bearings and hubs

Almost all wheel hub assemblies these days are bolted on. No need for a puller. That includes the OP's truck in this thread.

est ignition on a 1989 4.3 liter cobra.

Yep....that 's a good way. How is your lower shift cable? BTW, I would leave the overstroke switch in the loop. You don't want the ignition be interrupted after the shift completes and the overstroke switch prevents that.

How are you planning on getting the shift interrupter ESA working?

    Trailer surge brakes

True...my boat weighs 6500# and my travel trailer weighs 6000#. For a lighter boat/trailer, wouldn't be worth the cost. On my travel trailer, it was close to $2400 for the whole thing.

    Trailer surge brakes

I kinda get why people switch to electric drum brakes but to me, they are still crappy drum brakes. I just took the electric drum brakes off my travel trailers becuase they just don't work well. I was on the freeway coming back from a trip and traffic slowed fast...I was on the brakes hard and I...

    Trailer surge brakes

I stopped using hard lines years ago. Wherever a hard line rubs against metal(like along your axle)you will eventually get a hole in it. I just use rubber lines.

    Snap On Boat Cover

When I made my cover for my pontoon, I was careful to make a wrap that goes around the bimini poles. On the last cover I made, I left them off. A little water won't hurt it. If your cockpit is fiberglass and is self bailing, no need to worry about the small amount of water.

    Front wheel bearings and hubs

Other than OEM, I would get the Timken over the Moog. I did a Moog replacement on my 2018 F-150. That's all I could get my hands on 12 months ago. National backorder for the OEM ones. Rockauto has all of the aftermarket ones pretty much.

    Volvo Penta 7.4 overheats

Do not put any sealant around that o-ring but make sure all surfaces that it touches are perfectly clean. I put some silicone/PTFE grease on mine when I replace it to hold it in place.

    Volvo Penta 7.4 overheats

I had a Volvo and a Cobra over a period of over 30 years. That piece never cracked.

    SX outdrive

Looks clean...surprised it was so hard to separate. Typically, its corrosion around the studs that make these things hard to separate. Super easy if you do it annually.

    SX outdrive

Very clean...what year is that drive?

    Wheel Bearing Inspection Interval

First thing I do when i buy a new trailer is pull the junk chinese bearings and put in USA made Timkens. Rockauto has the best price.

    Wheel Bearing Inspection Interval

Annually. This is especially true if you have drum brakes as you need to inspect them. I never use the LAZ-Lube "feature" as there are many people who end up pushing grease past the rear seal. Here is a picture of someone using it on a travel trailer. Picture was from a forum I am on.

    trailer surge

Yeah...even my shortbed supercrew F150 is 145.4". This is a wheelbase issue. When I bought my F150, I bought the short bed becuase I thought it would fit in my garage at my vacation home...it doesn't...next one will be the longer bed. Even with a 26' 6500# boat/trailer...it tows easily. I...

    trailer surge

he has a 2022 Escalade. I am pretty sure that is Suburban and not Tahoe sized. If it is Tahoe sized, that is the issue.

    trailer surge

My boat has a 600# tongue weight. I have towed it with and without a WDH with a 2018 F-150 and it is a night and day difference towing it each way. I have electric over hydraulic brakes on my trailer so no concern with a surge brake actuator although the type hitch I use is compatible with surge...

    Can Rollers Damage the hull?

Too may bent spindles on torsion axles. Very common issue unless you never drive a road with potholes LOL.

    Can Rollers Damage the hull?

I own both leaf spring trailers and a torsion axle trailer. There is no difference in ride. Personally, if I had a choice, I would never own a torsion axle trailer. https://mechanicalelements.com/torsion-axles-in-tandem-or-triple/
