    New 5.7 overheating

Sorry for that, "clear" as in no obstructions. Now with the engine in place getting to the cooler is a nightmare if not impossible. Even getting to the hose that comes from the transom to the cooler is near impossible also. Now for the sake of reason lets say the issue lies in the hose going to...

    2000 FW 238 Vista VDO

I am looking to replace my POS Vdo gages for individual ones. Has anyone with vdo gages completed such a project that can guide me. I have read that FW used to make a panel to substitute the horrible vdo gauges. Looking to get your thoughts. Thx

    New 5.7 overheating

Splitting won't be a problem. That i can do easy and might as well so i can inspect interior components. What has me more concerned is the overheating, while for less that a minute the damage that it might have done to a new long block.

It was pliable to a degree but very warped. It looked like a rubber anti back flow. I believe it is the part number you stated.

    New 5.7 overheating

Update, yes overheating. Verified water is circulating. Backflushed engine via the water hose that feeds the water pump. 2 findings so far. 1 is via the outdrive clean out port. Found a damaged bushing blocking the water circulation path. Cleared it and water flows easier now but still...

    Sx-m trim cylinder loose

Guys i was wondering i bought 2 used trim cylinders from a local seller. The issue that i noticed when installing the new (to me) cylinder is that they are loose at the gimbal pin. Compared to my old ones that fit snug. I noticed that the brass or copper (unaware of material type) is less on one...
