Yamaha 50 tlr prime start test

all I can say is, if it moves but does not close off as it should then it needs replacing if you cannot figure out a way to adjust the thing to get it to move farther. have you checked to make sure the diaphrams in the pumps are not leaking and adding extra fuel also

Overheat alarm at idle... I think??

does that mean your filter on the motor does not have the switch? or are you saying the filter with a switch just does not have water in it? the switch could go bad if you have that, giving a false indication.

Overheat alarm at idle... I think??

Do not pull the float out until you drain the tank of oil if you pull the float and screen out you may let stuff get by the screen that could plug up the internal passages. also you will need to make sure you get the screen back in and sealed properly before add oil back in. have you checked...

2005 Yamaha F225 TXRD rubber grommet replacement

    Syncing carbs?

I would imagine once you set all throttle plates together with them completely closed they are synced. the same amount of air will be flowing into each cylinder where even you place the throttle. And if the carbs are properly clean the jets should allow the same amount of fuel to be sucked in...

    Syncing carbs?

as was posted already a Yamaha service manual will have the link and sync procedure, and it does not talk about a sync tool. just make sure all carb throttle plates are linked together with the plates completely closed not touching the idle speed screws. and timing is also part of the procedure

How do you know it is not overheating? do you have gauges and a warning alarm that works, that you have tested to make sure? Is this a oil injected motor or a premix? since you think timing is a problem, have you put a timing light on this motor to see if timing is in spec but changes when the...
