    if it takes a lot of pumping the primer bulb to fill the VST back up , it sounds like you have a problem keeping the VST full. but the motor should idle after you pump the VST full by hand

    do you have gauges that will show warning lights and a working alarm system you can see and hear if the motor overheats or is low on oil? what RPM is the problem showing you at? I would guess at this point the motor will not go above 2000 RPM when it overheats after a few minutes of running

    find out where they send cranks to be rebuilt, and then talk to them about what the cost of reworking a crank would cost. if you ask what the marine tech would charge to rebuild the motor for you, I am sure you would not want to pay that
