Where to attach brown wire on 115hp yamaha 2 stroke

maybe a good idea to have a house battery to run electronics separate from the starting battery. that way the starter never drags down the voltage to the electronics

    2000 Yamaha 9.9 2 stroke won't start

Being this motor is a 2 cylinder, it would be strange to have both the top and bottom crank seals to go at the same time, but it might happen. there is also a seal between the 2 cylinder crankcases. not knowing what all has happened or done to a motor makes it hard to figure out some problems...

    86 yamaha 50ELJ slipping??

I also say it is a spun hub. if you want to prove that, mark the hub and prop run the motor to cause the problem and then inspect the marks to see if that are not aligned anymore

    2020 Yamaha 90 buzzing

I would have tried to charge and test the old battery. but measuring the battery voltage before and while trying to start it may help point to a problem also measuring the voltages at the starter and starter relay may point to a problem with a cable, connection, or battery switch if you have one

2006 Yamaha F115 fuel leaks from VST

easiest way to find where it is coming from is to remove the cowling, clean everything up and let it dry. have someone turn the key on and watch for any leaks. if no leaks seen, have them fire it up while on muffs while you look for leaks. fire extinguisher may be good to have handy just...

Carb leaking fuel from hole (fairly large run of fuel)

might want to look at the fuel pump & lines to make sure something hiding in there does not hit the cleaned carbs after starting up

Yamaha 130 has random miss at idle

well if you have good compression ,spark at correct time, and the carbs work well on the other motor, only thing I can think of is bad seal between crankcases on the crankshaft. I believe 2 and 3 are next to each other on the crank

Yamaha 130 has random miss at idle

if the wires in the harness were to short across 2 & 3 or be crossed somehow, you would see it with the timing light lighting up the wrong TDC area if you paid attention

    Yamaha corroded ground wire.

I would not like to have a steel connector on a saltwater motor/boat, but even the lead to copper connections go bad sometimes also. I have seen cables go bad in the middle of the cable too

    Yamaha corroded ground wire.

bad connection heats up that connection and caused it to burn and get brittle. if you check and clean/lube the battery connections like you should this would not happen

Yamaha 130 has random miss at idle

if this motor runs the same on 2 cylinders and 4 cylinders, it is not just a random miss "I can unplug both #2 and #3 plug wires and motor does not change in the way it runs. One video attached shows just the miss, the other shows motor running with 2 plug wire removed with no change" did you...

Yamaha 130 has random miss at idle

a timing light hooked to a plug wire while this happens will show if spark is a problem on that plug. or you can keep throwing parts at it to see if you can get it to stop doing what it is doing you need to know if you have a spark problem or not

Yamaha 130 has random miss at idle

you will have to monitor spark and timing on each cylinder while the problem is there

    yamaha 4 stroke 9.9 bogging

loosing spark or too much or not enough fuel in a cylinder timing light should indicate if spark is hitting and if it is hitting at the correct time
