    @nola mike , you already have 12 volts and solar panel at the boat. add a 4-channel remote and run the lift off two channels and your cable pulley system off the other two.

    I used cabinet screws (flanged head screws) for the lowers. for the uppers, I used "landscaping screws" which were just a 3-1/2 x #14 cabinet screw with an oversized flange. may be overkill, however the wife has something like 900# of dishes and appliances in the over-sized cabinets

    if the foam is saturated, its most likely because the closed cell walls of the foam have been compromised or damaged. usually thru a freeze-thaw cycle. flotation foam starts out as closed-cell foam. water will wick nearly everywhere.

    70% of the time, water-logged foam is from having water inside the boat. other sources are non-sealed trim tab screws, non-sealed deck hardware, chine cracks, leaking transom shield hardware

    look at fiberglass prices. it will cost you a good $5k to restore the hull and upholstery. add another $2k + to swap to a mercruiser motor/drive that is more than the boat will be worth go with parting it out.

    every upholsterer has a book from Spradling, Sunbrella, Morbern, sileather and others thru their distributors (like keyston brothers, reliatex, sailrite, etc) if you ask them, they can even get most of the automotive products as well most upholsterers have a fair amount of stock on low end...
