Ayuh,..... 1st off, I don't know yer motor very well,.... But,....
The circulating pump don't build pressure, per say, but the t-stat holds back the flow of the pump,....
When the t-stat opens, it allows flows from the pump, to the heat exchanger,....

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... Of the 3 wires,.... Purple is power to the coil,.....
One is the signal wire to the distributor, it tells the coil when to fire,....
The 3rd is to the tach on the dash,.... to read rpms
Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,...... Those brackets could work, but not mounted like in their pictures,.....
You'd need to drill holes in yer L bar, 'n use short bolts, rather than the supplied U-bolts,....
Ayuh,..... For this to work,..... Where the trim limit switch hooks to the harness, the wires that connect to the 2 trim limit switch wires, need to be connected to each other, to pass power to the blue wire at the pump,....
Ayuh,..... You can meter the 2 wires that go out to the limit switch,...
Should be connected when down, open when up,....
By-passin' at that point should power the blue wire at the pump, with the forward trim switch up,....
Ayuh,.....What do the spark plug colors say,..??
Richen it up, til ya get darker colors,....
If I remember right, the plugs looked awfully clean,which might be a lean condition, which yer symptoms kinda says it is,....
