    Charging system Not Working?

There are 4 components of the charging system. Stator, regulator, battery cable and the battery. If you have already replaced the stator and regulator, you have either installed a bad component out of the box or you have a bad cable(s) or battery. Have you throughly inspected and (ohm)...

2007 Yamaha F115 Dies at High RPM

Removed old gasket from filter housing? Lubricated gasket before assembly? How old are the fuel lines? The ends of the hose where they fit over the nipple(s) tends to dry out, get hard overtime and leak. Remove, cut off and inch or two of hose and reassemble Yes

    Charging system Not Working?

Is this the charge specification or an assumption? Have you tried a different battery? A compromised battery will exhibit similar characteristics

    filter change

You are under no obligation to prove you did the Service. Quite the contrary, the Warrantor must prove that the failure was not a defect or malfunction and...the direct result of your action or inaction. c) Waiver of standards: The performance of the duties under subsection (a) of this...

Mostly Media hype.......ocean water temp is extremely dynamic. Currents and or wind can raise and lower temperature 5F over night. Our water temps are below normal water as of yesterday. Change of wind direction and we could be above normal tomorrow. Ocean fish are migratory. If they don't...

    Heat transfer dope

The old adage of don't fix something that is not broken applies here The heat transfer compound dried out 15 years ago. Besides, control modules rarely if ever die of heat related failures. It's typically shorts and over /under voltages that take them out. There is a greater chance you damage...

    Moving the filter

Fuel filters are gravity devices. By design, filters are placed on the vacuum side of a pump. Don't know of any "fuel filter" rated for pressure service.

    Fuel issues

Just because there is no water or rocks in the filter doesn't mean that the filter media isn't clogged with sediment and debris. Fuel filters should be changed annually. Have seen the filter media turn to mush after a couple of years

    Got electrocuted when touching cylinder?

High voltage is generated in the coil and transferred to the spark plug via the plug wire. If a coil is shorted to ground, it can't generate high voltage. If the plug is shorted to ground (cracked insulator) the plug would misfire and the motor would not run properly, if at all If the plug...

    Got electrocuted when touching cylinder?

Depends on where you touch.... The high voltage in the ignition system has no problem jumping a 1/2" air gap. Get your hand within 1/2" of a high voltage component (coil, plug wire or spark plug) with a ground issue and all bets are off. It's a good practice to stay clear of any and all...

    Stainless Prop Film

Stainless has very good resistance to alkaline attack. Would require polishing to restore the shine. Seeing it came off with CLR, I'm guessing calcium or lime buildup depending on what part of the country he is in.
