    Spun Prop

You didn't seem to have any problems on the low end so you shouldn't have touched that one. Did you try the high speed when you were out bombing around?

No start 1979 70 hp Evinrude.

Back on your engine harness you will see a black rubber boot. Inside is the fuse.

No start 1979 70 hp Evinrude.

How did you jump the starter? Or did you jump the battery. Sounds like a blown fuse maybe but you might have a fried wire. Do you know how to jump a soloniod?

    Motor won’t start

If the coil packs are wired wrong it will cause backfiring. Simple to check.

Check the wires going from the power pack to the ignition coils. Is orange with blue strip going to the top coil?

Weak spark.....lots of things. I'll let Racerone walk you through it.

    Motor won’t start

We will need more info. Compression? GOOD spark? 7/16 jump nice and blue? Fuel to the carb at least? Did you spray fuel into the front of the carb? Did you point the back of the motor towards the sun while staring at the moon? Get the point, right. We can't see it so be descriptive.

Broken head bolt. Evinrude 150 E150EXERV.

In this perticular spot you want to heat the bolt and let it cool over and over again. Letting someone more experienced do it is the right call. In the mean time getting it presoaked will save him some time.

    1982 Johnson 50Hp won’t start

You can isolate the control box by disconnecting the the big red plug at the motor and manually jump the soloniod. If it runs good that way then you know it's something in the harness or box. You will need some way to shut it off.

    1974 Evinrude 115hp v4

Lol, okay fair enough. Flare worked great, tighten up well....very snug. Probably did get lucky somewhat but line pressure isn't that much there and the motor is still working great even today.

    1974 Evinrude 115hp v4

Worked great....and it was quality. Found a company later that was selling them online for conversions.

    Carburetor tuning on muffs

Oldboatfixerupper has his own thread....."1974 115" He just highjacked this one because he didn't know better. I think that tool is a carb synchronizer...probably for motorcycles.

    1974 Evinrude 115hp v4

Depends on how far...but yes difficult. I turned a short shaft into a long shaft by taking a 5 inch piece of soft copper, making my own flare and then shoved it home.

Hey mate, they don't like you cherry picking someone else's thread. Keep the questions to your thread. No worries.

Idle rpm's and low speed air fuel mixing are two different things.
