    Cut and solder if you can find the parts. Correct length is critical. Water should come out right away. It tells you your pump is supplying water but it doesn't say if it's circulating your motor.... so you can still overheat so be careful. Looks like the under mount green LED's might pick up...

    Lol, I get that. How do you get it to hold together? I have two motors with white ones....both looked glued and maybe riveted. I might perform surgery on one just to help relieve myself of the 40 beer tokens I just spent for a new one!

    Working on a 77 Johnson 35. 35el77c To make a long story short, starter would not crank over. Finally got it to crank by grounding the soloniod. Neutral switch on the other side doesn't pass ground through it. There is only 1 wire to it....the one that goes to the soloniod. Is there supposed to...

    Maybe you were tilting it to high and ventilating the prop. Usually you can hear that if you do it.

    Not really backfiring....just missing. I agree check compression and test for GOOD spark. Seems electrical.

    Solid beep means overheat. If your mechanic says "no overheat" and you believe him than your overheat sensors seems to be giving you false signals. If you want to double check your mechanic, get one of these from harbor freight and check head temp. 140 to 160 range than once warmed up. No need...
