    Analog to Digital

Basically…..the limitation is going to be the converter. What analog signals does it support? If you want to simply replace the gauges the Garmin GMI 20 is a neat little display once you get your NMEA 2000 network setup https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/126694

    Dead Battery

The absolute worst thing you can do is to let a dead battery sit for any length of time. Pretty much a death sentence in the near future, if not now. Put a charger on it to see if it will hold a charge. Certainly wouldn’t be cruising off into the sunset w/o confirming it’s health first

    Dead Battery

Depends on the size of you charging system but I would be more concerned as to why it went dead. Should be able to leave the switch on overnight w/o killing the battery. How old is the battery? Load tested at beginning of season? Could be battery is just plain end of life. Either way, going...

    Analog to Digital

Most units on the market today have a gauge display of some sort as part of the NMEA 2000 interface. Your motor doesn’t support a digital interface. You would need to convert the existing analog signals from the sensors or gauges to digital (NMEA 2000). You would also need to install a NMEA...

Taking boat into salt / brackish water

It’s an education issue, not a chart problem. Your changing the scale of the map when you zoom an electric map. No different than hanging the paper map on the wall then taking 15 steps back to read the detail Nobody would try to read the wall map at 15 paces. Why would anyone run around with...

Taking boat into salt / brackish water

It’s all about what you are used to. I have a chart book on the boat but have not used it in 10-15 years. I have two 9” displays at the helm networked together. One dedicated to chart plotting. The other can be used for either sonar or chartplotting.

Accidentally grounded 12v power under dash

Circuits are typically individually used. If the fuse protecting that shorted didn't blow, pretty good you did no harm.

    2002 Seafox 182 Bayfisher Fuel Sender ??

You will find the sender on the top of your fuel tank. Do you know where In the tank is? Most mfg put an access port to get to it. Mine is n the floor of the cockpit. Others, are not as thoughtful. You either have to remove the cap from the hull or cut a hole in the floor to access

Dual battery setup (batt 1 & 2 or engine & house)

I run the Blue Seas system and find it superior in that I don't have to play silly games with the battery selector. I get in the boat and turn the switch ON. Get out of the boat and turn the switch OFF. As far as voltage drop at start up. A good, fully charged battery will not dip enough to...
