    Bad Antenna?

Assuming you have two way AIS, it simply broadcasts your boat name and current position. It’s does not support emergency services requests In an emergency, you activate DSC feature which broadcast an SOS along with your current position to the coast guard and all boaters within range. You need...

Transducer mounting - with a kicker on the starboard

Looks like a side viewing transducer. Have a min. distance from motor to transducer. Otherwise the side scan clips the lower unit, limiting the view on the display

    squeaky leaf springs

Bushing come in standard sizes. Figure out what you need and order from a trailer parts supplier. Just jack the frame to get the load off each spring. Do one side at a time

    squeaky leaf springs

Shouldn’t be. Just take the weight off the spring, pull bolt, install bushings, put back together

    2017 F25 (F25LWTC) -Is a Yamaha 10 micron External Fuel Filter Appropriate?

Flow ratings are determined by a filter’s cross section (filter size). The HP limitation is the result of its small cross section, not it’s micron rating.

    Launching/retrieving with FWD

The tow capacity is your limitation. As noted above, do it safely or not at all.

    2017 F25 (F25LWTC) -Is a Yamaha 10 micron External Fuel Filter Appropriate?

No.... A good, high quality filter will have very little pressure drop to begin with. The filters I use (racor) have a 0.2 psi pressure drop pushing 30 GPH. Goes up to 0.3 psi at 60 gph. At the rate your 25 hp burns fuel the pressure drop will be next to nothing Not sure about a 25 HP, but...

    Anchor line/rode size

General rule is 1/8" per 9 foot of boat length so you should be good. The question I have...what is the rope made of? Stretch and rot are not good?

    Auto Pilot

You don't need a chart plotter. AP are designed to be standalone units. The use of the plotter saves you a (interface) Display and possibility additional navigation functionality. Have never heard of it up until now.... Seems pretty gimmicky. Don't give any performance specifications ie...

    Auto Pilot

Cable or hydraulic steering? They make cable units but typically do not provide the performance needed for trolling. Would need to switch over the hydraulic steering to get decent trolling performance. What chartplotter are you using? Simrad, Raymarine and Garmin all have AP that integrated...

    2022 Yamaha 300hp 4-stroke Command Link NMEA

The NMEA 2000 Standard specifies the connectors used, PGN listings, power distribution schemes, etc. to allow connected components to be Plug and Play. The mere fact that they require a Gateway (translate CAN PGN to NMEA PGN) tells you the motor is not a NMEA 2000 certified device...

    2022 Yamaha 300hp 4-stroke Command Link NMEA

Only because pin outs on the two (different) connectors don't match up for power. There is no reason why you couldn't connect just the data lines and use either port. If you know of technical reason why it couldn't be done I'm all ears.

    2022 Yamaha 300hp 4-stroke Command Link NMEA

You mean "Gateway" as in adapter cable....lol Problem is......the motor is not NMEA2K compliant. Limited to the native CAN pgns, not a full compliment of NMEA2K pgns. Good excuse to upgrade and your chart plotter (J1939) and use it as your "Gateway" to your NMEA 2000 network

    2022 Yamaha 300hp 4-stroke Command Link NMEA

It’s my understanding that neither command link or command link plus protocols are not bi-directional. Been in industrial Automation since communication links where banks of relays. Worked with more Serial and Ethernet based links over the years than I care to remember. Have never run into...

    Bowriders that handle waves well?

Not a bow rider or DC fan but I’ll take a CC for ride comfort and accessibility for fighting fish over any other configuration. If you’ve ever chased big fish on light tackle in a small boat you’d understand the fascination. That’s what they make thermals and Grundens for…lol I like my...
