V/P Duo Prop. Would going from F5 to F6....

You said BB and at 310 to 330HP I take it's a 454 (Merc or VP) and MPI or TBI? The spec for the boat with a 5.7 @ 280HP says it will do 48MPH and your only getting 36MPH, something is wrong. Either the motor is not producing the power or the drive ratio is to high

V/P Duo Prop. Would going from F5 to F6....

Your don't want more pitch you need less pitch to get the RPM higher. Need closer to 4800 RPM. The motor is lugging and will shorten it's life It could be your new motor is not producing the HP it should. Check compression, should be close to 150 psi Check the plugs and see what they look...

    2003 Mercruiser 4.3 TB-V No Spark

Using a steel ruler and watching for a change IMO is not a good test. This is why in the troubleshooting guide it says the strike the Wht/Grn wire rapidly The TBV is fairly simple, for me it's either the sensor or the distributor isn't turning

    trim sender (starboard) wires

Trim gauge Brown/White other goes to ground. In many cases the ground comes from the trim pump which has a larger wire going to the block The trim limit connects to the trim pump Blue/White and Purple/White coming from the throttle handle. Both usually connect at the trim pump

    Gear case

The dogs look like they have been shifted slowly for some time The one gear has a mark in it but doesn't give me a worry of failure Some of the metal may be coming from the upper Is Merc gear lube being used?

Dealing with bogging for too long and need help because I've done just about everything!

I think your loosing fuel pressure. Could prove it by connecting a gauge on the rail. The electric fuel pump doesn't suck very well and having 2 filters may be part of the problem if filter media is less then 10 micron For testing, replace the antisiphon valve with a straight fitting. Did...

    Alarm capacitor 4.3L

I have not wired one this type but would guess cut the purple wire feeding the alarm and connect to 2 connects. The remaining contact gets grounded. 12V power is applied and after given amount of time the relay energizes and makes the connection
