    Fisher sv-19 gt w/ 150EFI prop pitch?

The advertised weight of an I/O typically includes the motor since it’s an integral part of the boat. The advertised weight of an outboard powered boat does not include the weight of the motor for obvious reasons. For prop calculations “weight” includes everything……Passengers, fuel, gear, etc.

Install additional fuel vent hose into existing line?

Interesting setup. Have never seen a situation where the fill and vent lines are on the same plane. Looks like topping off the tank would back flow into the vent line Is this a new to you boat? Did you or someone else change the elbow on the vent line? They are normally a bit taller. Gives...

Install additional fuel vent hose into existing line?

I would start by replacing the 21 year old fill hose and see where it leads you. Have you blown air back thru the vent to confirm a blockage? You would be amazed at how much stuff gets stuck/trapped in there over time

    More testing on Sharrow prop...

Numbers don't lie. Liars use numbers...... Anytime I see percentages used in comparisons instead of absolute numbers I’m immediately suspicious of the entire presentation. A 200% increase in murder last month....... went from 1 to 2 murders isn't much of a headline

Jacking a tandem axle trailer safely

Boat trailer (Loadrite) has springs. Horse trailer (Sundowner) has torsion. Works on both. Too many variables if it will work or not. Easiest to jack wheel 5” inch off the ground and see if the other tire is off the ground. Worst comes to worst you could always unhitch and lower tongue jack...

Anyone use a 2017 kia Sorrento AWD/4wd high output engine?

It's not an issue until it is..... Trailer brakes are notoriously inefficient and under maintained. Had a guy run a traffic light on me sometime back. I was in town. Couldn't have been going more that 30-35 mph. The tires on the trailer (~#4,200) broke loose (skidded) and pushed a V8 Cherokee...

Jacking a tandem axle trailer safely

No need for a jack on a tandem with springs. Got one of these for my wife when trailering https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Camco-Trailer-Aid-Plus-p/15-0458.htm

Jacking a tandem axle trailer safely

Couldn’t bend the end of the axle with a bottle jack if your life depended on it. The yield strength of A36 steel is #36,000 psi. Lifting just one tire off the ground of a #9200 tandem trailer requires # 2,300. A #6,000 jack should be by-passing at that load

    Propane BBQ Grill Repair question

Did this problem start with a new tank of gas? Had a Weber grill act like this right out of the box. Received a free tank of gas with the purchase of a new grill. The salesman warned me of problems related to their current gas supplier. Thought nothing of it. Long story short, numerous calls...

    Trim tabs.??

What problem are you trying to fix? Unless it’s an I/O you get more bang for your buck with a high lift / performance prop..been there done that Sizing….they recommend 1” of tab per foot of boat length with a 9” wide tab. If you don’t have transom space, go to a 12” wide tab. I have 12x12...

    Spare wheel hub... usefull?

Looks like my trailer but in much better shape. Mine was ridden hard and put away wet. Cant decide if I want to put money into the trailer or just buy a new aluminum one. I will not need a trailer in 3-4 years if everything goes as planned.

Full Clear Vinyl Enclosure vs. Canvas with Vinyl windows

Not sure what an all vinyl enclosure buys you except more headaches. It’s bad enough trying to keep up with the “touch points” on the windows in the usual normal canvas enclosure. Can’t imagine the “road rash” you would get with a full vinyl enclosure. I have a hardtop on my boat. The...
