    Carbs from 1989 60 on a 1995 50?

Exhaust tuner and pistons, are different. Can't get the Part #s for the blocks so, can't tell Even if you were to get those extra HP, it will get you about 2 more mph, and slower holeshot

    Enough horsepower?

A 110 on 16 ft boat, can pull a Bare Foot Skier, deep water start, no skis

    What is this hose?

it goes to the Speedometer, the end your holding likely came off of the fitting on the top of the gearcase. It looks like it got pinched as well.

Suddenly boat stopped going into gear. Help!

The case likely has to come apart again. Are you one who slams it into gear or do you ease it into gear?

    '84 115hp T-o-P rebuild

They did switch from a Nut and Stud System to the One-Time-Torque Bolts in the early 80s, they also changed the Connecting Rod at the same time

    4.3lx intake manifold question

I certainly can't argue with last comment above. I have the 4bbl intake on my 5.7 Volvo, and I will agree it looks very much like an Edelbrock, but I did see some difference

    4.3lx intake manifold question

If a bit more initial timing helps the Bottom End, then just change the advance curve of the Distributor to limit Centrifugal Advance. The OP's engine sounds old enough to have a Mechanical Advance Distributor. Heck, my 2002 Volvo 5.7 has one.

    '84 115hp T-o-P rebuild

That engine does not have a Cylinder Head to remove. Here is what you will find under the water jacket cover. This was my 1984 115hp Specialty Tools? Ring compressors are one

1977 johnson 6hp throttle cam question

With these engines almost All of the Spark Advance occurs before the carbs open. Seems to work well. Also, Idle Speed is a result of retarding/advancing the spark, not changes to the Carb Throttle Shaft

1995 Evinrude 88SPL Carb jet question

Yet looking at the Parts Listings, it states only one per carb on some of the V4s. The motor in question is one, and I checked others, some also said one, while other engines it was two.

Holley Terminator fuel injected carb tuning 98 Baja Outlaw

They still recommended a noncompliant System, even after you told them it was for a Marine Application? Me thinks Holley is in need of a Legality Attitude Adjustment

    Enough horsepower?

If I remember, the 110 has the Bubbleback Exhaust cover, so for all intensive purposes, it is basically a crank rated 140, but prop rated. The 140 rarely put out more than 128hp at the crank, but that fell the within the10% variance allowed from labeled hp

    Quit My Job . . .

I went on Company Pension the next day, I did use up a bit of saved money. 4 years later when I turned 60, I was able to get my Canada Pension, and in 2 1/2 years when I turn 65, I will be able to get Old Age Security. I haven't touched my savings or my Tax Sheltered Retirement Savings, or other...

Mercury 115 EFI 2015, white "plastic ring" in front of propeller, what is it for?

Can you float the boat close to a shore or beach, wade into the water with a couple of tools in hand? I did that when I needed to change props. I have also anchored the boat so that the fully tilted up engine was close the dock, and changed the prop

    Quit My Job . . .

Wasn't the least bit Scary. Oh for about 30 seconds I was concerned about all the commuters going to work, and stuck in traffic at -30. That concern faded very quickly as a I turned over and hit the snooze button
